I don’t have much to report about my trip to Pittsburgh. Heard some reasonably intelligent conversations about the future of journalism but also heard from some ridiculously out-of-touch academics.
Did discover a multimedia Web site — MediaStorm. It hosts a collection of new media stories — essentially radio reports with mostly still pictures. Some very moving stuff on that site — I’ve enjoyed the “Ninth Floor” and “Friends for Life” so far.
Oh, and I cried watching the first installment of “Never Coming Home.” It’s a tribute to Nicolas Spry, a young soldier killed in Iraq. Check it out.
